ITINERARY
DAY 1 Travel north to cross the border for your overnight stay in Dumfries (June) or Gretna Green (August) DBB
DAY 2 Onward & upward to Perthshire for your overnight stay in the Grantown-on-Spey in the Cairngorms (June) or in the centre of Perth on the River Tay (August) DBB
DAY 3 Ever northwards to handsome Inverness, a compact, cosmopolitan city on the banks of the River Ness. Then journey along the East Coast to Caithness for 3-night stay in Castletown near Thurso DBB

A Day Out on Orkney Cross to St Margarets Hope on Orkney where a local guide awaits for a full day exploring Orkney's mainland including Neolithic Skara Brae, the stone Ring of Brodgar, the historic manor house at Skaill, the delightful Italian POW chapel and the remains of scuppered battleships at Scapa Flow. Cross back to the mainland later in the day
DAY 6 Across the famous North Coast Route, Scotland’s Route 66 where the roads along the northerly coastal edges of Scotland offer breathtaking views around every corner. Then head south to the picturesque fishing town of Ullapool for 2 nights stay. DBB
