ITINERARY
DAY 1 – To Dumfries Travel north of the Border to your overnight at 3* Cairndale Hotel in Dumfries. DBB
DAY 2 – Stirling & The Trossachs – Through the Borders scenery to Stirling, the wee city with a big history and onward through the glorious Trossachs National Park and Loch Lubnaig for your 2-night stay at 3* Killin Hotel. DBB
DAY 3 – A Day on Mull – Head to Oban on the West Coast for the morning ferry to Mull – rugged landscapes, breathtaking scenery and ancient history. Leisure time in Tobermory, one of the prettiest ports in Scotland
DAY 4 – Glencoe, Fort William to Skye So much to see today as you drive into beautiful Glencoe. Along the banks of Loch Linnhe to Fort William, onward past the famous Glennfinnan Viaduct to Mallaig for the ferry to Armadale on Skye. Check into 3* Dunollie Hotel in Broadford for 2 nights. DBB DAY 5 – A Day on Skye – A full day to explore the magical Misty Isle with a local guide with included entrance to the excellent Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, the seat of the chief of Clan MacLeod with some interesting artefacts
DAY 6 – Portree, Harris & Lewis – Visit Skye’s main town, Portree, is set around a natural harbour. Off to Uig for afternoon ferry to Tarbert with an early 2-course dinner on board. Take a scenic drive to the West Coast of South Harris to Luskentyre Sands, one of the most spectacular beaches in the Outer Hebrides. Onto Stornoway for 2-night stay in 3* Caladh Inn (1 night BB & 1 night DBB)
DAY 7 – Exploring the Isle of Lewis – Refreshingly unspoilt and uncrowded, Lewis is the largest of the Western Isles. Tour with a
local guide and visit the mystic Callanish Standing Stones, the Iron Age fortification of Carloway Broch and the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village
DAY 8 – Heading South – Take the ferry
to Ullapool and head south via Inverness, the magnificent Cairngorms National Park and Pitlochry to Newcastle for your final overnight at 4* Copthorne Hotel. DBB
DAY 9 After breakfast it’s time to head south to arrive home during the evening
