Staying right on the Bay of Concarneau, explore Southern Brittany from the fortified town of Vannes to the corbelled masonry in old Quimper and a cruise along the beautiful Odet River
ITINERARY
DAY 1 Travel to Portsmouth with time at Gunwharf Quays before boarding your Brittany Ferries ship for the overnight crossing. Outside cabins (two lower berths for two people sharing) and a 3-course self-service dinner are included on board DAY 2 After a night at sea, enjoy breakfast before docking in St Malo. Discover this amazing city with its rich seafaring history and maze of medieval streets. 'Intra-Muros', the ancient walled town, forms the heart of St Malo where the stunning cathedral dominates the skyline. Continue through Brittany to Concarneau to check into your hotel with a welcome drink for your 4-night stay. DBB
DAY 3 – 5 At leisure in Southern Brittany with two included excursions and a full day in resort. On your leisure day in Concarneau enjoy time on the beautiful nearby beach or stroll into the town (approx. 15 – 20 mins) and cross the little stone bridge to the 'Ville Close' (walled citadel). birdlife. Rejoin the coach to Quimper, the cultural heart of Brittany. The old town is a delight with its half-timbered houses. Onto the exquisite village of Locronan Vannes & Pont-Aven Visit Vannes, one of Brittany's most picturesque towns. The old town is a medieval gem and a place of art and history. Onto the pretty 'village of artists' and port town of Pont-Aven, which is famous for the invention of galettes (butter biscuits)
DAY 6 Depart Brittany to drive north to your overnight stop in central Amiens. DBB
