DAY 1 - A morning departure to Dover for the short sea ferry crossing to Calais. Then travel through Belgium before entering Holland and on to your holiday hotel in Delft, arriving in the early evening. Buffet dinner in the hotel on the first and last night of your stay with breakfast daily.
Your hotel is within easy walking distance of the centre of Delft, the picturesque historic town known for its blue ceramics and delicious pancakes. The main market square and town hall are just a 10-minute walk from the hotel and you will find a wide variety of eateries and restaurants in the centre of Delft for the evening/s when you are at liberty to dine where you choose.
You may like to visit the world famous Royal Delft Museum - the factory museum for Delft Blue pottery (open daily until 17.00 - entrance approx €15 pp in 2024). Delft is also known for its connection to artist, Johannes Vermeer, (Vermeer Centre - entrance €12 pp in 2024). Thanks to the city’s rich history, there are many wonderful sights from the little alleys with their fantastic ambiance to the beautiful canal-side houses with their extraordinary facades.

Bulbfields & Keukenhof Gardens
After breakfast tour around the glorious bulbfields of Holland where the continuously drained soil of the polders creates perfect growing conditions for the tulip bulbs which love well-drained but moist soil. Enjoy an included visit to Keukenhof Gardens, the Dutch Master Growers showpiece which rightly draws visitors from all around the world to marvel at this spectacular sight. Over 7 million flower bulbs are planted every year and the gardens and pavilions comprise a fantastic collection of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, roses, carnations, irises, lilies and more - an overwhelming spectacle of colour and perfume. Volendam & Amsterdam
Visit the quaint and picturesque old fishing village of Volendam and the former Zuider Zee where many of the local inhabitants still wear the traditional costumes. You will stop by a local clog maker and a cheese farm and then continue onto Amsterdam, with its compact centre packed with art museums full of masterpieces, historic scenic canals, atmospheric lanes, crooked merchant buildings, house boats, bikes and inviting cafes. OPTIONAL EXCURSION
Scheveningen - Half Day (5 day tour only)
Head to Holland's most famous seaside resort, Scheveningen. A much loved North Sea resort, you will find a superb beaches and dunes, a gigantic and very striking pier with its many attractions. Take a stroll along the boulevard and soak up the glorious seaside atmosphere. Return to the hotel with time to explore Delft in the afternoon
Return Day - After breakfast, depart for Calais and the ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.
